How to Increase Visibility and Engagement with Social Media

Social Media Marketing

Do you know of anyone who does not have a social media profile? If I were to ask you this question, what would your answer be? The most likely answer would be no one. Of course, not everyone is on social media but majority of the population is and not using that to your advantage is unwise, to put it mildly.

Social Media Marketing

If you can name 10 people that you know who are not on Facebook, then I will concede that using social media for your website’s visibility and interaction with customers is ludicrous. The truth of the matter is, almost everyone you know is on Facebook, and those you cannot find on this platform are either on it but hiding under an assumed name or are simply averse to anything new. Whatever the case may be, with majority of the people you know being on Facebook, and other social media platforms, it is best for you to leverage these platforms and use these to your advantage.

Increase Loyalty with Customer Engagement

Let’s compare two stores. One has great customer service while the other does not have any. When you need to ask questions about the products that are being sold or have a complaint about something that you bought, you usually gravitate towards customer service staff. When a store does not have one, who do you ask? Would you return to a store that does not have such a feature for its customers?

The same goes for your online store or portal. If your company has no way of interacting with your customers, do you think your customers will want to deal with you again in the future, particularly if they have concerns that need immediate addressing? If you have a competitor that offers the same products and services as you and the only difference is they can be easily reached via social media, who do you think customers will want to deal with more?

Customers can be fickle and if you cannot give them what they need, they will find someone else who can. You have to keep in mind that you are not the only company offering what you are offering. A company that is easier to contact, is more personable, and is considered more helpful to its customers even after sales have been concluded is more likely to get return customers and referrals than one that does not offer any of these.

Increase Visibility by Advertising on Social Media

Like I said earlier, everyone is on social media. To increase visibility, you need to use this tool to get your brand seen by your target market. Having social media accounts on the top 5 portals is not enough. You won’t be seen that way unless someone you know shared the heck out of your posts. What you need to do to increase your visibility and promote brand familiarity on social media is to advertise on it.

All social media portals have an advertising medium that you can use to increase your reach and visibility. Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and even SnapChat have advertising that you can use to get the word out to your target market that you exist. Using such portals will help you increase your visibility tenfold and for a fraction of what it would cost you if you used traditional advertising and marketing methods.

Of course, when you use these advertising mediums, you have to use them correctly. Simply putting your company on these ads without thinking about what to put on them is a waste of your hard-earned money. If you are to do such a thing, do it the right way. You can study how to create effective social media ads by researching and learning on your own, or you can have someone teach you. You can also opt for hiring a professional to do all of these for you – handle your social media accounts and advertise for you.

For the former, there is PTB Digital Training Hub, which holds a variety of digital marketing seminars and lectures every week for those who want to break into the industry. For the latter, there is Cebu Digital Hub, which is one of the foremost authorities in internet marketing and advertising in Cebu. Whichever you choose (or you can choose to do both), you are making a wise decision. To find out more, you can contact me or visit the sites for each one to get more information.
