People say that learning how to create ads using Google Ads is easy, and in a way, they are right. I mean, how difficult is it really to put together a few phrases, place a few keywords that you think people will use to find the ad (and by extension, your site), and to place bids on each one? Well, in reality, as easy as it sounds, it is not as cut and dried as some people make it out to be.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that you need a PhD to be able to run a successful Google Ads campaign or you need to do extensive research to find out what kinds of ads your target market will click on (although, this can work to your advantage). You do need to learn the ropes before you can launch a decent enough pay-per-click campaign that won’t burn a hole in your pocket without generating revenues.
In order for you to learn how to create effective ads, use the right keywords, place the right bids, and even tweak your campaigns to work better for you without costing you an arm and a leg, you need Google Ads Training. Some people who find that they have very little time to spare in order to learn the ins and outs of this portal find that using the Help Center and tutorial videos gives them the flexibility to learn this skill on their own time.
Google’s tutorial and help center is not your only avenue for learning how to create effective PPC ads though. There are a few other ways for you to learn doing this the right way, and here are some of them:
Free Interactive Tutorials – there are lots of free tutorials that you can find online when you are trying to learn how to do online ads. These usually show you the basics, which include account creation, ad writing basics, limitations of your ads, bidding tips and tricks, and many more. These will also show you how to do your keyword research, how to set keyword targeting and geography limitations, and how to place your bids.
The downside to these interactive tutorials is, while you do get to experience how to create these ads with the help of guides, you cannot ask these running tutorials any questions. You also won’t be able to learn how to actually create an active ad on your account without it costing you a lot of money.
Video Tutorials – this you can easily find on lots of video sharing sites, like YouTube and Vimeo. These show you through screen capture software and with the help of diagrams how you can set up your pay-per-click account and how you can create ads that can work wonders for your site. This is also a very easy medium of instruction but it is one that denies you of hands-on experience, except if you create your own account and experiment with it after watching these videos.
Forums and Question Sites – if you search questions on Google Ads and how to learn how to use it the right way, you will probably find a few forum and help sites that can offer you answers to these questions. Of course, you cannot guarantee that you will get the answer you need right away, and even then, if the answer is what you needed or is the right on.
Paid Online Courses – this is one of the better options for those who want to properly invest in their Google Ads. There are a few online education sites that have structured courses for you to follow in order to learn the concept, basics, and even the tips as well as tricks involved in running a successful PPC campaign.
Some online sites that offer such courses include popular ones like Udemy and Lynda. The downside here is that with the huge number of videos that you need to sift through to get the information you want and to learn quickly can be somewhat tedious, and you cannot ask questions when you need to.
Training Courses Near You – this is probably one of the best options for those who not only want to truly learn how to do online advertising, but also for those who want to get certified. If you find learning centers near you offering such a course, it might be a good idea for you to sign up. These courses not only teach you the basics of Google Adwords, but also the tips and tricks involved in creating cost-effective ads.
Another plus is you can ask your instructors as many questions as you deem fit for you to truly understand what makes a PPC ad tick. Some training courses even offer you hands-on experience with live ads so you can see what to do and what not to do. More-often-than-not, these courses end with you taking the certification exam in order to make you a Certified Google Ads expert.
Take your pick from these many options to learn online advertising. Just remember that this is one of the essential tools to get targeted traffic flowing to your site and not using this tool can leave you in the dust behind your competitors.
